April showers bring May flowers, which means it’s the perfect time for this Decorate a Flower Playdough Activity. It’s blooming with learning opportunities! Students will choose a task card and create a flower by following the “recipe”.
This resource allows preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten children to practice the following skills:

Print these activity cards out on cardstock. For heavy use, lamination is recommended. Supply students with playdough, flower cookie cutters (optional), pom poms, acrylic jewels and/or sequins, buttons, beads, faux green leaves, and cut up pieces of fuzzy sticks/pipe cleaners.
Be sure to facilitate conversation during this activity. Ask your students to describe their creations and ask them which items they used more/less/same of.
